The Lexington Police Department is proudly fundraising for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island this month by participating in 'No Shave November'.
'No Shave November' or 'Movember' encourages men to grow mustaches. The charitable trend dates back to the early 2000s as a way to promote various men's health initiatives but has since been adopted as a general fundraising tactic.
This November, we're raising money to support local children who have been diagnosed with a critical illness. The money raised will support the Make-A-Wish effort to replace a child's fear, sadness, and anxiety with confidence, hope, and joy. The majority of children who are granted wishes go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Currently, in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, 645 children are waiting for their opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of a wish granted, and every day that list grows. Make-A-Wish counts on donors like you to help make their wishes come true.
Please join the Lexington Police Department in supporting this incredible cause!
