As many of you know, my sorority Chi Omega's national philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and at The University of Rhode Island, we fundraise specifically for Make-A-Wish of MA and RI.
This year we are hosting our second annual Wish Week benefitting Make-A-Wish of MA and RI. This is incredibly special to me as this year I am serving as my chapter's Director of Philanthropy and Community Service. Since I was a new member of this sorority, I have dreamed of one day holding this position. It has been an honor and my greatest joy to be able to work with Make-A-Wish so closely for so many years.
Last year during our Wish Week we granted a wish, and that is because of donors like you. Please join me in raising awareness for this organization once again this year, and hopefully granting another wish!
Your support means the world to not only me, but the children who are granted these incredible wishes. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Always,
Sophia
