As a volunteer with Make-A-Wish for many years, I've had the honor and privilege of working with dozens of wish children and their families. In this time, I've seen firsthand the impact of a wish for a child facing a critical illness. In the midst of navigating everything that comes along with a diagnosis of a critical illness, a wish provides a child -- and their family -- an opportunity to focus on something other than a diagnosis or treatments.
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight -- giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
magical moments to be created. If you had the opportunity to change someone's life, would you?
As a member of the Make-A-Wish Wish Ball Committee, I am proudly fundraising for Wish Ball 2024. Will you join me in supporting children facing critical illnesses by making a gift today?
Thank you for your support -- your efforts are truly helping to make wishes come true!
