PMWHS Student Council is once again hosting March for Make-A-Wish fundraising activities and events in memory of beloved student, Steven Mitchel, who lost his life to leukemia. Before his passing, Steven and his family enjoyed a magical wish aboard a luxury cruise line and made priceless memories his family still cherishes today. It was his hope that our community could come together and help other kids like him experience the magic of a wish.
Since 2004, the students, faculty and families of Pocono Mountain West High School have sponsored life-affirming wishes for 16 children from Monroe County who are living with critical illnesses. Currently, there are seven children from Monroe County waiting to have a wish fulfilled and proceeds from this year's event will help make those magical wishes possible.
It is our hope that with the support of donors like you, together we can continue Steven’s legacy and reach our goal of raising $5000 to grant wishes for children in need of some joy and magic.
