I'm proudly fundraising for Make-A-Wish –one year ago we celebrated our daughter Jazlyn's wish to go to the USA Track and Field Championships where she had the opportunity to meet many Olympians such as Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Britton Wilson, Talitha Diggs, Jackie Joyner Kersee and many more, It was truly an amazing experience to have Jazlyn's wish come true.
In 2021 our daughter Jazlyn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. At the time Jazlyn was towards the end of her cross-country season and was unable to complete her season with her teammates. As she began her chemo treatments, she made it a point to continue competing as she continued to play basketball and run Track and Field. Jazlyn chose going to the USA Track and Field Championships for the joy that Track and Field has given her and having the opportunity to be amongst many Olympian athletes.
Make A Wish allowed Jazlyn to be a teenager enjoying life without having to think about her history of cancer but most importantly making her feel extra special for the entire week. Without the many donors from the airlines to the USATF staff and to the many donors of Make a Wish Jazlyn’s wish would not have been made possible. Will you join us by making a gift today?
