***UPDATE: Thank you for helping us surpass our goal - but it's still not too late to give and help support more wishes. Additional donations will continue to be matched dollar for dollar by the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, up to $60,000.***
Thanks to donors like you, Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area grants nearly 400 wishes each year. But every day, more children are diagnosed with critical illnesses. Each one of these brave kids deserves to experience a life-changing wish, which is why we need your help.
This month, your gift can go twice as far, thanks to a matching challenge from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation. They will match every gift we receive this summer dollar-for-dollar, up to $60,000 in total. When you give by August 31st, your donation will go twice as far!
Research shows that a wish can improve a child’s quality of life, giving them a better chance of recovering.* For 15-year-old Kimberly of Salinas, planning her quinceañera brought hope and strength in the midst of her fight against leukemia. When her wish was granted, she was able to experience a celebration fit for a princess, complete with a beautiful dress, tiara and cake.
Summer is our busiest time of year, and your gift today will be doubled by the Monterey Peninsula Foundation’s generous grant. Please donate to help us make more wishes like Kimberly’s come true!
