Wishes can improve a child’s quality of life, giving them a better chance of recovering.* For 15-year-old Kimberly of Salinas, planning for her quinceañera brought hope and strength in the midst of her fight against leukemia. When her wish was granted, she was able to look past her illness and experience a celebration fit for a princess, complete with a beautiful dress, tiara, cake and her own court of honor.
Every day, more children like Kimberly are diagnosed with critical illnesses. Each one of these brave local kids deserves to experience a life-changing wish, which is why we need your help.
Our chapter grants wishes for over 400 children each year, including more than 20 kids like Kimberly who live in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties - but there are more wishes we can grant there with your help.
To help us make every wish come true, the Monterey Peninsula Foundation has offered a matching challenge. For every gift we receive this summer, they will match it dollar-for-dollar up to $60,000 in total.
Summer is our busiest time of year, and your gift today will be doubled by the Monterey Peninsula Foundation’s generous grant. Please help us make more wishes come true!
