This years' anniversary is bittersweet. I made the decision this summer that the time has come for me to leave Make-A-Wish as an employee. I will wrap up my time at Chief Operating Officer for this chapter at the end of January 2024. I am leaving with my heart full of love for this organization and everyone who is now and who has been a part of it during my tenure. I have grown personally and professionally thanks to getting to work with so many amazing colleagues, board members and volunteers over the years.
I've been part of celebrating milestone wishes from the 3000th and soon the 9,500th! I've moved our office 4 times, learned from and partnered with two amazing CEO's (Patricia for 18 years and Betsy for 7 years), saw Batkid save us all, and made it through a pandemic. In my personal life I found the love of my life with Chris, got married, and had our "baby" boy Jasper who is now a 15-year-old high school freshman. What an amazing 25 years!
I will be taking a little break after January then I will start exploring what my next chapter will be - watch for my email/call! But you know what will remain a constant - I will remain a dedicated wish granter and loyal donor.
Please join me in my love for Make-A-Wish and support this milestone fundraiser.
