Kaleb was born on June 9, 2015, and seemed perfectly healthy until his parents noticed he was grunting and coughing when he was just 2 months old. After developing more concerning symptoms and his condition worsened, his parents (John and Marissa) sought medical attention at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta urgent care. An abnormal EKG led to Kaleb's admission to Egleston, where he was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and left ventricular noncompaction. He needed a new heart and was placed on the heart transplant list. On December 3, 2015, at only 6 months old, he found a match and received a life-saving heart!
Now 9 years old, Kaleb thrives despite side effects from anti-rejection medication. Kaleb's dream is to visit Disney World, and your generosity can turn his dream into reality!
