Dear Friends and Family,
Student Leadership at Mountain Vista High School is working together to raise money for Make-A-Wish Colorado to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. It’s truly amazing what wishes can do. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages belief in the impossible.
Make-A-Wish Colorado was founded in 1983 in memory of 7-year-old Jennifer Mazak, who had liver disease. Jennifer loved listening to the radio and dreamed of meeting her favorite station’s mascot, the KIMN Chicken. Her mom, Joan, teamed up with her friends and coworkers to make her daughter’s wish come true!
Inspired by the impact Jennifer’s experience had on herself and her entire community, Joan founded the Colorado chapter of Make-A-Wish in Jennifer’s memory. Forty years later, more than 6,350 Colorado kids have experienced the hope and strength of a wish come true.
In the past, doctors have seen the incredible power of a Wish and don't see it as a frivolous addition or a paid trip for a family, but rather a life-altering part of medical treatment. By donating to our cause, you are helping provide an incredible experience for a family and critically ill child, along with hope that can't really be replicated in any other way.
At MVHS, we have partnered with Make-A-Wish to grant wishes for hundreds of Wish Kids, raising nearly 1.5 million dollars. Please consider helping us grant the wishes of more Colorado Wish Kids.
