Dear parents, students, family, and friends,
Wish week 2022 is here! Let's make this an amazing week as we ASSEMBLE FOR CHASE! I hope to see you attending events, dressing up for spirit days, giving what you can to make wishes come true for Chase and others like him!
I lost my father in 2001 to a long fight against leukemia. My father endured 7 months in and out of the hospital, 3 rounds of chemo, and many difficult days. We said goodbye each night of those 7 months as if each one was the last one. Sadly, on October 23 we had our last goodbye. I feel lucky that I spent meaningful time with my father and that I had the time to come to peace with the situation. I have sincere empathy for Chase’s family as they are going through the same highs and lows, but with a child. The only thing more difficult that walking that journey with my father would be doing that with a child.
I'd like to challenge my students and their families to donate to Make-a-Wish Colorado. For every dollar donated to my page, I will double the donation (up to $1500). Last year, students and their families donated $2490 which I matched in honor of my parents meaning we raised $4980.00. Let's do it again, Chap.
A wish begins with hope. And hope begins with you.
Please donate today to help our 2002 Wish Kid's wish come true!
Thank you for your support!
