Our a cappella group, the Northeastern Downbeats, is joining Vital Signs at Elon University to host its seventh annual Benefit Concert for the Make-A-Wish Foundation this upcoming February! With the circumstances of this year, the concert has been moved to a virtual format, but we intend on still giving it our all! If you’re not familiar with The Make-A-Wish Foundation, it is an organization dedicated to spreading hope, strength, and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions by granting their wish. At this virtual concert, a cappella groups from various universities throughout the country will come together to share their mutual gift and love for performing, all for the benefit of Make-A-Wish.
This event was started six years ago by a Vital Signs alumnus and brother to wish kid and leukemia survivor, Bella. Bella is the full inspiration behind this event and the reason it’s still hosted today. Through this concert, we continue to tell Bella’s victory story as well as support other wish kids in hopes of hearing their story someday too.
100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit Make-A-Wish Central and Western NC! The average cost of a child’s wish is about $6,000, so this year, we’re setting a fundraising goal of $10,000, so that we may be able to help nearly cover two whole wishes. In the past, this event has been so successful because of the help and support of our friends and family, so We would love to ask you to be a part of that.
Please consider donating to help us spread more joy, hope, and strength to the families of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. We are so thankful for any contribution you are able and willing to make!
