Westlake for Wishes is a club at Westlake High School which strives to engage our local and the greater Austin community in raising awareness of Make-A-Wish’s mission. Our goal is to give hope and grant life-changing wishes to children battling critical illnesses. We hope that we can spread the joy of a wish and show how each wish changes a child’s life for the better.
Westlake for Wishes knows firsthand the power of a wish. One of our co-founders, Sam Benesch had his wish granted when he was 5 years old to walk on the beach with Mickey Mouse. Sam and his family have been a part of the Make-A-Wish family since then and are active volunteers within the organization. Meanwhile, Hunter Samra, one of our other Westlake for Wishes members got his wish granted last February to have a grand piano.
This year, Westlake for Wishes has undertaken the pleasure and responsibility of sponsoring a wish. In doing so we set a goal to raise $7,500+ to make a child’s life shine brighter. To learn more about our club, please check us out on our website, Instagram, and Facebook! Most of all, thank you so much for helping make wishes come true!
