This year I was inspired to train for and run in the Disney Princess Half-Marathon. Listening to the WDW Radio recap shows of the Disney races, and Lou's weekly mantra to keep moving forward really spoke to me. As an actor in the New England area, I often face quite a bit of discouragement. Therefore, I am using this race to help celebrate a milestone birthday, and to remind myself that I can overcome the obstacles that life puts in my way and still accomplish big goals.
Once I made the decision to run the race, I knew that I had to become part of the WDW Radio run team. This team was formed to support each other and to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation. I am hoping to raise $200 to help give the magic of Walt Disney World to a child with a critical illness (and their family). I am sure that the only thing better than crossing a major finish line in a Disney Park, is knowing that by doing so I am helping others to reach that magical place as well.
