On June 6th, 2008, my brother Michael left this world abruptly, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and inspiration. He was only 14 years old. Michael battled cerebral palsy and other heart-related conditions throughout his life, yet his spirit remained unbroken, his smile contagious, and his love boundless. Despite enduring numerous doctor visits, emergency room trips, and surgeries, Michael remained resilient and strong, his spirit undiminished by the challenges he faced.
One of the most cherished memories I hold dear is the joy that lit up Michael's face when the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted his dream of visiting Disney World. That magical experience brought him unparalleled happiness and created memories that our family treasures to this day. Make-A-Wish not only granted a wish but also ignited a spark of hope and joy in Michael's heart during challenging times.
As Michael's 31st birthday approaches on June 23rd, I am determined to honor his memory in a meaningful way. I want to give back to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that brought so much joy to my brother and our family. In Michael's honor, I am launching a fundraiser to help grant wishes to other children facing critical illnesses.
Join me in celebrating Michael's life and legacy by contributing to our fundraiser. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in the lives of children battling illness. Together, we can spread joy, hope, and magic to those who need it most, just as Make-A-Wish did for Michael.
Let's make Michael's birthday a celebration of love, compassion, and giving back. Together, we can ensure that other children's dreams come true, just as Michael's did.
