This photo is what makes me proud to be a Wish Hero!
Our first stop when we visited Univeral Orlando for George's Wish trip was to get a picture with Captain America. The park haden't been open for very long so we got in line not thinking anything of it. Really there were only 10-15 people in line so to wait for a few minutes didn't bother us at all. Our turn came we took our pictures and were ready to continue our day. As we started to walk away Captian America stopped me and asked why we waitied in the line, I replied, "there were only a few people in line, no big deal", right. Wrong, he let me know George was a Wish Kid and Wish Kids have all earned the right to be first, not next, no lines, first.
I was once again humbled by the fact that he isn't just my kid, he's my Wish Kid and he deservers everyrhing that comes with that.
I'm fundraising with Make-A-Wish to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. It's truly amazing what wishes can do... give kids renewed energy and strength, bring families closer together and unite communities.
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all the buttons in a tall building's elevator.
Now more than ever, the world needs the hope of a wish come true. Together, we can help grant more wishes. Please donate today.
