We never thought we would be at the point we are now.
Miracle after miracle after miracle, both in terms of Ruby's health and medical assistance, and in the countless people (known and unknown) that provided support to our family in numerous ways.
Today, Ruby is strong, spirited (as usual), and shows no signs of any cancer in her now 8-year old body.
One of the reasons I share this is to express my gratitude for everyone who has touched our lives over the past several years. One day (certainly not in this life), I hope to be able to see how many hands helped lift us during some really dark times and personally thank them. I have a feeling it is a LOT more than I can imagine.
The other reason I am posting this is to ask you to join me in providing assistance to other kids that are fighting cancer.
I have had the chance to work with Make-A-Wish on several occasions after we received Ruby's Wish and it is an outstanding experience every time.
The hope and joy and the memories that Make-A-Wish provides are immeasurable.
If you are in a position to donate, I invite you to join me in doing so.
