It was last May that I started to learn firsthand what a difference Make A Wish truly does make. I was diagnosed in May 2023 with B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. While in the hospital getting my two-year long treatment plan in place the hospital staff started to brainstorm with me on my possible wishes through Make-A-Wish. It was last year, about this time, that I met with my wish volunteer couple and started to put down on paper some of my dream wishes. Over the last year Make-A-Wish Wisconsin together with Make-A-Wish Hawaii put those dreams together and made my wish a reality. I couldn’t be more proud to call myself a Make-A-Wish alumni and hope to continue to work with Make-A-Wish to make other kids wishes come true.
