Welcome to my personal fundraising page!
Here is why I walk. 15 years ago our daughter Katie received a kidney transplant from her dad. While she was recovering, she was told she was elgible for a wish. I wish i could explain the feelings that we all had. It is hard facing medical issues everyday. Her wish gave her something to look forward to. It helped her heal. Katie has Cystinosis, a rare metobolic disorder. Her wish was college tuition. With the money that she recieved she earned her degree and is now a phlebotomist, helping others at Froedert Hospital.
So,I have signed up to walk and fundraise for this year’s event because wishes have the power to give children hope, strength and joy when they need it most. I have lived it through our Katie.
Wishes can increase the physical and emotional well-being of wish kids, and create happy, lifelong memories. In fact, wish experiences are as much about the days that follow, as they are about the wish itself – because the impact of a wish can last forever.
The funds I raise will support the Make-A-Wish® mission to grant the wish of every eligible child who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
I am thrilled to be walking with the Arrowhead Girls Swim and Dive Team.
A wish experience can truly change a child’s life, and so can you. Please support me and donate to my page today.
Thank you!
