I am really proud to support Make-A-Wish this year at their annual walk. Being a wish kid not only gave my family an amazing trip we will never forget, but it’s also given us opportunities to attend amazing events like meeting the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels. I’ve had opportunities to help raise awareness at fund raising galas and now I’d like to personally work to raise funds to grant the wish of another child facing a critical illness.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world? That’s a lot, yes. But right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses like me are waiting for theirs to be granted becuase Make-A-Wish lacks the necessary funding. I'm fundraising for Make-A-Wish so that more deserving kids and their families can know the life-changing joy, renewal, strength and hope that a wish can bring.
My goal is huge - I know. I’ll tell you why. When I was volunteering at one of the fundraiser events, I actually got to meet someone from the family who donated to create my wish. It was such a humbling experience to know that someone’s generosity benefitted me directly. I’d love to be on the other side of that and provide the funding for someone else’s wish. I can do that if I reach $4000. I’ve done hard things in the past and I want to try that again.
