As a Make-A-Wish staff member, I see first hand the resilience and strength of our wish kids. From a wish to be a published author, to a wish to have a Star Wars room, each child has a unique vision for their wish.

In October 2021, I had the pleasure of granting Annie's wish to be a farmer. Her wish came to her in a dream, where she imagined herself kissing baby animals and picking vegetables on a farm. We partnered with the community of Fallon, Nevada, who made her vision come true, and beyond! Annie and her family stayed at the renowned Frey Ranch for a week, playing with baby goats, feeding piglets, enjoying tractor rides, and making homemade ice cream. On the final day of her wish, Annie met Fallon's mayor, Ken Tedford. He presented her with a colorful pig stuffed animal, which soon became Annie's most prized possession. One of Annie's wish granters said it best, "That pig is her spirit animal - colorful and farm-loving."
