As a former Wish Kid, I am proud to support Make-A-Wish and their work in our community. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. I know firsthand that a wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together, and unites communities.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief, and renewal a wish can bring.
These life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. My wish experience was to attend the world premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017. During the premiere, I shook hands with the full cast and directors of the film, walked on the red carpet, met fellow amazing Wish Kids, and had an impossible wish granted.
