Walk With Wish. Wish With Us.
We are really proud to support Make-A-Wish and their work in our community. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities.
Cody is an inspiring little boy who is stricken with a very rare syndrome, Wolf-Hirshhorn Syndrome, more simply known as 4p- due to the number of the chromosome it affects. This has touched every part of his life since the day he was born. He is 15yrs old now. He’s endured countless surgeries ranging from very serious to minor procedures. He’s had his ups and downs for sure, but through it all, he’s never let the mountains he’s had to climb hold him back from the love he has for his family and most everyone else he’s encountered.
In September 2018 he was granted a wish from Make-A-Wish and oh boy was it an awesome and life changing experience. Make-A-Wish provided him with a type of medicine that can’t be written on a prescription pad! It helped boost him emotionally and physically.
Being the big hearted person Cody is, he couldn’t just let it be at that. At Christmas, with his communication device, he told Santa he wanted money for Christmas. Santa with a laugh asked him what he planned on doing with the money. Cody didn’t crack a smile and said “I’m giving it all to Make-A-Wish!” With the help of a webpage he raised enough to grant another child a life changing wish. His pure heart and generosity has inspired several friends near and far. And with some help of some from remarkable friends he’s going to try it again! In June 2019 we had Cruising With Cody motorcycle ride to benefit Make-A-Wish. Although he had to pause things last year with the pandemic he’s more than eager now to pay it back again. Join Cody’s team or make a donation today! You’re help will provide another local child with not only a memory of a lifetime but the fulfillment and joy of knowing they’re supported by all the wonderful people behind Make A Wish. Thank you
GO TEAM CODY!
