Jane's Wish Trip, March 2019
It is hard to believe that it has been exactly 5 years since Janie received her wish trip to Orlando. Little did we know that exactly one year later she would enter hospice care as the world was shut down for COVID.
I am really proud to support Make-A-Wish and their work in our community. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities.
I am so thankful for the time our family had to create happy memories that would get us through all the hard we would face just one year later. These memories continue to bless us, even 4 years after Janie lost her battle with her congenital heart defects.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year, but that’s only 50% of the eligible kids! Every hour of every day, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
These life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. A wish experience can truly change a child’s life, and so can we.
