I am really proud to support Make-A-Wish and their work in our community. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. As a Chi Omega I have been supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation since I was a collegian and part of the Chi Mu Chapter of Chi Omega at Bucknell University where during my time there we had the opportunity to grant the wishes of several wish children. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the look on the faces of wish children as they have their wishes granted.
Speaking of granting wishes....did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
These life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. A wish experience can truly change a child’s life, and so can we.
