In 2016, at just two years old, Addison was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor on her right right kidney. After receiving the news that no parent wants to hear, we made a plan and started her journey of treatment, surgery, and remission. At the end of that journey, Addison was declared cancer-free on May 18, 2017! 

Addison’s wish of going to Disney World was granted less than a year later. We traveled to Disney in March of 2018 and spent a week down there soaking up the sun and fun. After a long year of medical appointments, it was truly wonderful to get away from all of it and just enjoy Addison’s childhood. We were gifted a stay at Give Kids the World Village, another magical place for children battling life-threatening illnesses. To say that we are grateful and thankful for all that Make-A-Wish has done for our family would be an understatement.

Addison continues to save up some of her allowance money every week to donate to MAW. We are all very thankful for you to join our family in fundraising for this wonderful organization!
