UPAD Walks for Lamya
University Prep Art & Design High School first Walked to support a child's wish in 2013. Since that time the mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation has grown in meaning for our community.
Lamya Currie joined our school's community as a 6th grader in 2016. She was also a Wish kid who's enthusiasm for school and no nonsense drive inspired her classmates. Although Lamya succumbed to her illness in 2017, her memory at UPAD lives on.
As a member of the Class of 2023, we honor her and walk to pay forward all the kindness and love she offered us. Please help us help Make-A-Wish grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. Wish families are your friends, neighbors and relatives.
Will you help us support Make-A-Wish by donating today or joining our team today?
