I am really proud to support Make-A-Wish and their work in our community. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
These life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. A wish experience can truly change a child’s life, and so can we.
As some of you may know, my family's life has been changed by this amazing organization because my brother Xavier has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and he is a make a wish kid who's wish was to go to Australia but we were unable to due to the pandemic. So, after a little bit of processing, he said "I want a boat" and so with the help of Make A Wish, we got a boat.
I hope that every wish child get's their wishes granted and have a smile on their faces every chance they can.
