At the end of 2014 I was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms tumors (kidney cancer) and started treatment. I finished treatment and had surgery in early 2015. Which lead to me being referred to Make A Wish for a wish. I wished to meet Jeff Gordon in Kansas City and to watch the races that weekend. It was such an amazing experience; that I want to help other kids going through serious medical conditions to be able have his or her wish granted.
I know how powerful a wish is and that it gives children hope, strength and joy when they need it most.
Wishes can increase the physical and emotional well-being of wish kids, and create happy, lifelong memories. In fact, wish experiences are as much about the days that follow, as they are about the wish itself – because the impact of a wish can last forever.
The funds I raise will support the Make-A-Wish® mission to grant the wish of every eligible child who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
