Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with an uncommon type of lymphoma and during the 3+ years of treatment that followed, I was referred to Make-A-Wish Illinois. Eventually, I was granted an amazing wish trip to visit San Francisco with my family to see a Warriors playoff game, and also tour places like Alcatraz, the Redwood Forest and the Golden Gate Bridge.
As a Make-A-Wish Alum, I know first hand how much joy a wish can bring to a child and their family. It's especially difficult for those kids during Covid times and even more important to help fund these wishes. Many wishes were put on hold during the pandemic, but many were also granted to bring come cheer to kids at home - which is why I am proud to participate in the Walk for Wishes on October 17th.
Please help me support Make-A-Wish Illinois by donating a even few dollars, so they can continue to grant life-changing wishes to kids like me.
