I recently had the honor to become COO of Make-A-Wish Illinois and have been inspired by the incredible work that the organization does to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.  I am proud to support our mission. A wish helps a child replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. When you help grant a wish, you create a turning point in a child’s treatment & recovery.

Earlier this month, I got to join a wish kid and his family in making his wish come true with the Chicago Bears. I saw firsthand the impact that Make-A-Wish’s mission has on the wish kid & his entire family. It was an experience that I’ll never forget, and I want to do everything I can to help ensure that more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief, and renewal that a wish can bring.

Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids.  Every hour of every day, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal.  That’s why I’m helping to raise funds so that more kids and their families can receive the valuable gift of a wish come true.
