When I said YES to taking my position at Make-A-Wish IL, I knew that the mission I was supporting was plain ol' JOY! This organization brings joy to the world and the lives of the children and families it touches.
For this year's Walk for Wishes, I am raising $280 for my 28th B-Day on Oct 19th, and I ask my friends and family to donate $28 in support. This is a 2-for-1 opportunity, where your gift is in honor of my 28th year of life, and a good luck sign for starting my new job.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world? That’s a lot, yes. But right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses are waiting for theirs to be granted because Make-A-Wish lacks the necessary funding. I'm fundraising for Make-A-Wish so that more deserving kids and their families can experience the life-changing joy, renewal, strength, and hope that a wish can bring.
