Charlotte's wish was to go to Disney World and meet the princesses!
I am really proud to support Make-A-Wish and their work in our community. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses including for our daughter Charlotte.
On, August 13, 2021, our daughter, Charlotte, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Charlotte is now in remission and out of treatment for almost 12 months. When looking back on the roller coaster of emotions of her treatment there are some memories there that many would not expect. Because the memories are not only fear and a conjuring of strength and hope but there are memories of togetherness and joy.
Those memories are thanks to Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley and other charities that support giving children and their families some amount of normalcy. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities.
Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world - that’s a lot, yes. But right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses are waiting for theirs to be granted becuase Make-A-Wish lacks the necessary funding. I'm fundraising for Make-A-Wish so that more deserving kids and their families can know the life-changing joy, renewal, strength and hope that a wish can bring.
