I am excited to walk and fundraise for this year’s Walk For Wishes. I am committed to raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. It’s truly amazing what a wish come true can do for a wish kid. I know because I was one of those kids. I was granted a Wish after I completed a bone marrow transplant for leukemia. This trip was a chance for my family and I to take a step away from the medicine, the clinics, the labs, etc and just spend time together as a family. It was the first time in over a year that I could run around without a mask on. At times during this trip, I completely forgot about my transplant. This trip was the first time I felt like a normal kid again. In addition to giving them the experience of a lifetime, parents, health professionals and volunteers agree that a wish empowers wish kids to fight harder against their illnesses.
These life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. A wish experience can truly change a child’s life, and so can we.
Please support me and donate to my fundraising goal today!
