Did you know that Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world? That’s a lot, yes. But right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses are waiting for theirs to be granted because Make-A-Wish lacks the necessary funding. I’m fundraising for Make-A-Wish so that more deserving kids and their families can know the life-changing joy, renewal, strength and hope that a wish can bring.
My husband, John, and I were supporters of Make-A-Wish for many years. By the time the Fall Trailblaze Challenge happens it will be a little over four years since John died. I can think of no better way to support these deserving kids and families while at the same time honoring John’s life through an organization we believe in, doing what we loved to do together! John’s favorite saying was “Find Your Piece Of Peace Today”. This challenge is a piece of peace for me. And I know the Make-A-Wish kiddos & families get a piece of peace when their wish is granted.
