We are so excited to take on the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge in San Diego this year! This is Team Murphy Magic's 5th year participating in the challenge and we are so excited to take on the trails again!

Make-A-Wish holds a special place in mine and my family's heart. Due to a brain tumor I was diagnosed with at the age of 4, I was granted a wish the next year. Being 5 at the time of my Wish I still recall two strangers coming to my home and telling me to make a wish. My first thought was that I wanted to live with Ariel under the sea but logically, as a little girl i knew I couldn't breathe underwater so I wished to live with Snow White instead. We were shortly sent off to Disney World! This trip was such a pivotal time during my recovery as it allowed to me to a kid and not think about my surgery and limitations as well as allowed my family to enjoy being a family again.

In addition to the physical challenge along the Pacific Coast Trail, we have committed to raising the critical funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. With your help, it’s possible!

Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids.  Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal.  I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
