My mantra for this year is "Work less and PLAY more in 2024." This includes my intention to get outside more: hiking, walking, swimming. Well, someone must have been listening (maybe Siri, IDK) because randomly (?) I received an email inviting me to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge–a 28 mile, 1 day hike on the Pacific Crest Trail in Big Bear. And while this sort of physical challenge may not sound like fun to many, I love hiking, especially with friends. So, I have teamed up with my dear friend Nichole Wilkinson to form the “Wishful Wanderers” and we have committed to raising the critical funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. With your help, wishes can come true.
Did you know Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes, but that’s only 50% of the eligible kids who make wishes every year. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them hope, strength, and encouragement to help them continue treatments and to heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true joy, relief, and renewal a wish can bring.
These essential wishes are only possible because of supporters like you. Together, we are transforming lives-one wish at a time!
Will you help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today?
