Thank you visiting my page! So far the fundraising has been successful beyond my wildest dreams. It has been fun meeting new hiking buddies and exploring new trails in a big communal effort to raise money for Make-A-Wish. I initially committed to hiking a single 28-mile day on the Pacific Crest Trail on May 4th but will now do a second hike two weeks later. Why on earth?…because I can. Sick kiddos and their families don’t always have an option. Bad news comes and dreams get shelved or moved.
Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Each of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can have that one really great day. A day that’s not centered on medicine, caregiving or worry.
