Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids.  Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal.  I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring. 

This year I am hiking in honor of my sweet friend, Kirsten Loy, whose 10 year battle with cancer ended Oct. 28, 2023 and in memory of my dear friend Becky Breedlove, who passed away 5 years ago in May. These two courageous women changed my life and many others' with their generosity of heart and spirit and with their inspiring ability to share joy and humor during the worst of challenges.  I believe helping to grant wishes for critically ill children would be a fitting tribute and a way of paying forward all that I gained in my friendships with Kirsten and Becky.

Together we can bring smiles and hope to children who deserve to experience the magic of a granted wish.
