As you know, I’ve always enjoyed hiking. It’s a way for me to connect with my friends, connect with nature and fill up my cup.
This November, I’ve decided to use hiking as a mission to give back and raise money for Make-A-Wish San Diego.
I will be hiking for 3 days on a portion of Pacific Crest Trail and covering more than 30 miles.
You may know Make a Wish grants wishes to critically ill children. In their state of illness, their rights of being a kid are taken away.
Many cannot go to school, join sports, go summer camps or just play on the favorite playground due to severe illnesses. Instead, their days are filled with blood draws, injections, medications, physical therapy, occupation therapy or simply being confined to a hospital bed.
The power of a wish is to allow them escape…even for one day and allow them to dream that a future beyond their illness is possible.
Did you know that Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide each year? Would you help me raise funds to help support this meaningful cause? Even if it’s $5, it’ll help grant a wish for 350 critically ill kids in San Diego who are waiting…
Happy hiking everyone and let’s make help make wishes come true!
