I am excited to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge for the fourth time! This year I will be doing TWO of the big hikes, including a new-for-me section of the PCT in the San Gabriel Mountains near Wrightwood, CA. In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising the critical funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. As a team, we have done it before, and – with your help - we can do it again!
While Make-A-Wish grants more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year, that’s only 50% of the eligible children. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids deserves a wish to give them strength and help them heal. Each of their families deserves the positivity and hope that a wish can bring. In my involvement with TrailBlaze and Make-A-Wish San Diego, I have seen and heard firsthand from many Make-A-Wish families just how impactful a granted wish can be. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can feel this impact and to know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Will you help me hike for the Make-A-Wish kids and their families by donating today?
