I am going to participate in 2023 Trailblaze Challenge for Make-A-Wish San Diego!
I will be doing a 28 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail (Big Bear Lake) in 1 day. The hike will be on May 20, 2023 this year.
I will also be raising money to support the sick children at Make-A-Wish and help make more of their wishes come true. My goal is to raise at least $2500 before June 30, 2023. Make-A-Wish San Diego's 2023 goal for everyone in the challenge is to raise $800,000. Last year over $740,000 was raised, setting a record for Trailblaze Challenge SD. The average cost of 1 wish is $9000, so that's over 80 wishes granted for sick children. The wishes are so important and life changing for not only the children but also for the family, friends, and everyone involved in helping make a wish come true. More About the Trailblaze Challenge
The Trailblaze Challenge is a life-changing endurance experience that challenges participants physically and emotionally, and ultimately helps Make-A-Wish San Diego grant wishes to the 350 children with critical illnesses in our region.
Our goal is to bring people together to build a community around families who are faced with the harsh realities of critical illnesses. When you take your first step on your journey as a Trailblazer, you are paving the way for a brighter tomorrow for children right here in your community.
