After having an amazing time taking part in the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge last year and seeing the amazing generosity from donors of all ages and backgrounds, I am happy to announce that I will be taking part in this challenge yet again in 2023. If you are unfamiliar with the challenge, it is a 28-mile day hike across a section of the Pacific Crest Trail in Southern California that requires each participant to raise a minimum of $2,500. Last year was a huge success and our team was able to raise almost $13,000!
After participating in the Trailblaze Challenge I became even more involved with Make-A-Wish San Diego, and have since been volunteering by greeting Wish families at San Diego International Airport with signs, and making their very first moments on their visit as special as possible. I have also signed up to be a Wish Granter, pairing myself with Wish kids and working with them to discover what their biggest wish is. I cannot understate how amazing these kids are and how excited it makes them to experience a Wish, especially having fought through their own challenges and sacrificing much of the normal childhood we may take for granted.
So, with that being said, I would love to have your support and for you to join my team in helping give back to some of the most inspiring, courageous, and deserving people I have met in my life. Even if you are able to contribute a few dollars, everyone's help adds up to something much bigger than we can imagine.
