I did something pretty crazy, but it’s also pretty awesome. I signed up to participate in this year’s Make-a-Wish Trail Blaze Challenge. While I will be physically challenged to hike 28 miles in one day along the PCT, I will be motivated by the stories and strength the wish kids emulate.
Part of this challenge is to raise money for Make-a-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illness. Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of eligible kids. I hope you'll support me by making a dontation so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
I was inspired by a couple of the wish kids. Hearing their stories made me want to help give them hope. The range of things kids wish for is pretty remarkable. While some wish for a skate park, others wish to meet monarch butterflies. I'll leave you with a particularly relevant story in hopes you will be inspired to help make their wishes come true.
