I’m so excited to be taking on the Trailblaze Challenge for the 4th year in a row! I’ve been a staff member at Make-A-Wish for nearly 20 years, starting as an intern, and spending most of my career on the wish granting side of the organization. 

Our mission is to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses; I’m passionate about what we do because I get to see our mission in action every day. A wish is so much more than just a nice thing to have, research shows that it can give kids the strength to fight against, and even overcome a critical illness. A wish renews hope by empowering a child to think about their future, and encourages their belief that the impossible, is possible. 

I’m honored to be hitting the trail again for our wish kids and hope you’ll join me on the journey. Make-A-Wish is so powerful because it brings a community of would-be strangers together for the sole purpose of making the world a little brighter for a child when they need it most.
