Don't wait for hope. Create it!
Hi everyone! I am beyond excited to share that I am coming back for YEAR 4 (Hiking my 5th and 6th time) of the most magical event I've been lucky to be a part of and I will be taking on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge hiking TWO times this season-That's 56 miles! (28 miles each day)
Why did I decide to put my body through this twice in a season?
After each hike, I drive my broken body down the mountain, always wondering how I can make a bigger impact. I feel that being a former wish kid myself gives me a bigger voice to do more, and fundraise more. I have so many of you in my corner wanting to make a difference, and a body that lets me get through the physical part, so why not do it until I can't?
In addition to the physical challenge, this means I have committed myself to raising twice the required amount as required last year. These critical funds are necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. With your help, it’s possible!
More About My Personal Reason:
I know what it's like to experience the joy, and true happiness of a granted wish! When battling Leukemia as a child, I too was given a life changing wish that I still talk about today. I wanted to go to Disney and get slimed at Nickelodeon which is exactly what I did! As a former wish kid, myself, I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can feel the relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Through Make-A-Wish, I am also a wish granter. As a wish granter I get to drive the wish discovery stage all the way to the wish reveal, followed by granting the wish itself. Going from a wish recipient to a wish granter has really been a special thing in my life.
These essential wishes are only possible because of supporters like you. Together, we are transforming lives- One wish at a time!
Will you help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today?
THANK YOU! :)
