I am excited to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge for the 2nd year in a row. In addition to the physical challenge of hiking 28 miles in one day, I have committed myself to raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. With your help, it’s possible!
I have personally been involved in and seen the impact that a wish being granted can have on a child and their family. For a short period in time they can enjoy something that they love and not have to worry about their illness or when their next treatment or doctor’s appointment is. The joy on a child’s face when they are granted their wish is the reason that I support this organization. The Trailblaze Challenge has been a life changing experience for me.
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building's elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you. I will never forget the look on wish kid Liam’s face when he got to stop a bank robbery and be a San Diego Police Officer for a day. The impact of your donation will change a child’s life forever.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. That is a lot, but unfortunately it’s not enough for every eligible child. I’m doing this hike and fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
Please help me support this great cause by joining me on the trail or helping me hit my Trailblaze Challenge fundraising goal. Thank you for your support!
