Donations of $1,000, or more, can qualify forsponsorship perks. From individuals, I'm asking for donations in increments of$10. WHAT:
I am excited to take on my thirdTrailblaze Challenge, and fourth fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Foundation of SanDiego. In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself toraising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children withcritical illnesses. With your help, it’s possible.
DONATIONS:
For any individual, organization, orbusiness who donates at least $1,000, I will personally add their name to my hikingshirt and training gear, in addition to the perks offered by Make-A-Wish SanDiego, Trailblaze Challenge official sponsorship packages. Once I reach myfundraising goal, there will be stretch goals added later.

WHY:
Wish kids are some of the bravestand sweetest kids you'll ever know. I have been fortunate to meet several wishkids and their families and have been moved to tears when I learn theirstories. One such wish kid gave me an autograph after he became a San DiegoPadres player for a day! Make-A-Wish San Diego has been rated 4/4 stars onCharity Navigator, with a current overall rating of 94.91% as of the latest publishedrating. In fact, Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego has received 9 consecutive4-star ratings from Charity Navigator. Not only does a high percentage of eachdollar raised go directly to their mission, but the staff are great too :)

LAST YEAR:
The 2022 Trailblaze Challenge SDraised more than $700,000to support wish granting in San Diego, shattering theoriginal goal and setting a new chapter fundraising record. Thus, 70life-changing wishes could be granted for children with critical illnesses. Mywonderful hiking team completed 28 miles, while I was able to complete 20 mileshiking in Big Bear Lake, CA along the Pacific Crest Trail! Whew!
MY STORY:
I am a native San Diegan, militaryVeteran, and Make-A-Wish enthusiast. After having been to war and back(OIF/OEF), I enjoy the uplifting part of life... like giving back to thecommunity. I prefer surrounding myself with positive, hopeful, and fun, family,friends, and community.
