DONATE! Please help me raise *at least* $2,500, although $10,000 for Make-A-Wish would be great -- the average cost it takes to grant one wish -- by May 2020 - by October 2020 - by May 2021. Donations of $1,000, or more, can qualify for sponsorship perks. From individuals, I'm asking for donations in increments of $10. From groups, businesses, or organization, I'm asking for donations in increments of $100. Although TBCSD2020 has been postponed, I'll still plan on hiking in 2021 for the same cause!
I am excited to take on my second Trailblaze Challenge, and third fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego. In addition to the physical challenge, I have committed myself to raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. With your help, it’s possible.
For any individual, organization, or business who donates at least $1,000, I will personally add their name to my hiking shirt and training gear, in addition to the perks offered by Make-A-Wish San Diego, Trailblaze Challenge official sponsorship packages. Once I reach my fundraising goal, there will be stretch goals added later.
Email me at ITShaun@yahoo.com if you'd like a sponsorship packet, or have any questions.
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. I have been fortunate to meet several wish kids and their families, and have been moved to tears when I learn their stories. I was fortunate enough to get an autograph of one who became a San Diego Padres player for a day! Make-A-Wish San Diego was rated 4/4 stars on Charity Navigator in December 2019, with an overall rating of 91.24 out of 100. In fact, Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego has received 7 consecutive 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator. Not only does a high percentage of each dollar raised go directly to their mission, but the staff are great too :)

LAST YEAR TBCSD:
The 2019 Trailblaze Challenge SD raised more than $650,000 to support wish granting in San Diego, shattering the original goal and setting a new chapter fundraising record. Thus, 65 life-changing wishes could be granted for children with critical illnesses. My wonderful hiking buddy and I completed 28.3 miles of hiking in Big Bear Lake, CA along the Pacific Crest Trail in 10h 30m! Whew! "One foot in front of the other" was our motto.
I am a native San Diegan, military Veteran, and Make-A-Wish enthusiast. After having been to war and back (OIF/OEF), I enjoy the uplifting part of life... like giving back to the community. I prefer surrounding myself with positive, hopeful, and fun, family, friends, and community.
Please help me support this great cause by joining me on the trail or helping me hit my Trailblaze Challenge fundraising goal. Thank you for your support!
