I am very excited to take on this year’s Trailblaze Challenge traversing 28 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in the San Bernardino Mountains. This is a stretch for me. We'll be ascending almost 3000 feet over 28 miles. Perhaps more daunting for me than the physical challenge, I have committed myself to fundraise $2500 to help Make-A-Wish grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. Some back information on Make-A-Wish... Did you know that they grant more than 15,000 wishes nationwide every year? That’s a lot, yes. But that’s only 50% of the eligible kids. Every hour of every day, on average, three children are diagnosed with a critical illness. Every one of these kids needs a wish to give them strength and help them heal. I’m fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the true happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
