Last year, a few friends and I took on the 2024 Trailblaze Challenge, a 28 mile in 1 day hike, supporting Make-A-Wish San Diego. It was HARD. I didn’t think I was going to finish, but I did. And I’m going to do it again.
In addition to the physical challenge of hiking 28 miles in one day on the Pacific Crest Trail, I have committed myself to raising the critical funds necessary for Make-A-Wish to grant the one true wish for each eligible child with a critical illness. With your help, it’s possible. (Thank you to all who donated last year! We rocked it!)
This cause speaks to my heart because it directly impacts children and their families. Did you know that Make-A-Wish has granted more than 550,000 wishes around the world? That’s a lot, yes. But right now, for every wish that comes true, two more children with critical illnesses are waiting for theirs to be granted because Make-A-Wish lacks the necessary funding. I’m fundraising for Make-A-Wish so that more deserving kids and their families can know the life-changing joy, renewal, strength and hope that a wish can bring.
“When children are battling a critical illness, so much of normal childhood is taken away from them — it is exhausting, both emotionally and physically. A wish is something that gives kids the opportunity to look outside their illness — it restores a sense of childhood back to the child and normalcy back to the family.” (https://wish.org/more-than-medicine)
A spark of hope can change everything.
Research shows that wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give a child better health outcomes and increase their chances for survival.
Life-changing wishes are only possible because of supporters like us. A wish can truly transform a child's life, and we have the power to grant it.
With your help, it’s possible. THANK YOU!!!
Will you help me support Make-A-Wish by donating today?
